Reiki Grand Mastership
The objective of Reiki Grand Mastership is to lead, innovate, and advance the practice of Reiki.
Reiki Grandmastership is a term that can carry different meanings depending on the tradition or lineage of Reiki being referred to. In general, however, reaching the level of a Grandmaster in Reiki is considered a significant accomplishment that denotes a deep commitment to the practice, extensive experience, and sometimes the development of new techniques or teachings within the Reiki system.
The title “Grandmaster” is not universally recognized in all Reiki systems. In some traditions, it refers to those who have dedicated themselves to practicing and teaching Reiki at a very high level or who have developed new strands or systems of Reiki. The role and definition can vary significantly:
Anyone Can learn Reiki
Leaming Reiki is a very simple technique. It does not need any degree or education nor any intellectual capacity. It does not take years of practice. When God wants you to be his channel you yourself are drawn towards a reiki master. Don’t you wonder that you leam reiki from whom you have never met before nor you know anything about him/her. So master of this universe has already set a place and guru for you.
Bipolar nature of Reiki
Reiki is bipolar in nature. It is made of both male and female healing energies. The male part is associated with the crown and higher energies and is called Shiva. The female part comes from below, is associated with the root chakra and is called shakti. So while giving healing both the energies communicate with each other and the proper combination of male and female energies flow from healer’s hands.
All About Reiki Grand Mastership
Overview of Reiki Grandmastership
1. Role and Responsibilities
- Teaching and Attunements: A Reiki Grandmaster is typically responsible for teaching Reiki to others, including conducting attunements that enable students to channel Reiki energy.
- Preservation and Innovation: They may also be tasked with preserving the integrity and purity of Reiki teachings or possibly expanding and adapting those teachings to meet contemporary needs.
- Spiritual Leadership: Often, a Grandmaster serves as a spiritual leader and mentor within the Reiki community, guiding other practitioners and teachers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced Training: Grandmasters have usually undergone extensive training, often completing the highest levels of Reiki offered in their respective lineage, which typically includes learning sophisticated healing techniques and personal spiritual development.
- Years of Practice: They usually have many years of practical experience in both healing and teaching Reiki.
- Lineage: Some traditions emphasize the importance of lineage, with the title of Grandmaster passing from one master to another in a direct line from Mikao Usui.
Differences Across Lineages
- The criteria and definitions for what constitutes a Grandmaster can vary significantly between different Reiki traditions. In some lineages, the title of Grandmaster might be used for anyone who teaches Reiki or conducts attunements, while in others, it could be reserved for those who have made significant contributions to the field or who carry the lineage of Reiki teaching directly from Usui.
Considerations
Certification and Standards: There are no global governing bodies or standardized regulations for Reiki, which means that the qualifications and quality of Reiki practitioners and masters can vary widely.
Cultural Respect: As Reiki is rooted in Japanese culture, there’s ongoing discussion about how it should be practiced and taught, particularly regarding respect for its origins and integrity.
Personal Development: Becoming a Reiki Grandmaster is often seen as a personal journey rather than merely achieving a certain level of training. It involves deep personal growth, commitment to healing others, and a profound understanding of Reiki energy.
Controversy and Recognition
- No Standard Regulation: Since there is no standardized or globally recognized accrediting body for Reiki, the title of Grandmaster can sometimes be self-assigned or awarded within a particular school or organization without external recognition.
- Variability: The qualifications, skills, and ethical standards of those claiming to be Grandmasters can therefore vary widely, and there is some debate within the Reiki community about the legitimacy and appropriateness of the term.
Spiritual and Personal Development
- For many, achieving Grandmastership is not just about reaching a certain level of skill or teaching ability, but also involves profound personal and spiritual growth. It’s seen as a lifelong journey of self-improvement and service to others.
If you are considering advancing towards or seeking out a Reiki Grandmaster for training, it’s crucial to research their background, understand their lineage, and reflect on how their approach aligns with your personal beliefs and needs in Reiki practice. Since “Grandmaster” can mean different things in different contexts, understanding the specific qualifications and reputation of the practitioner is key. Always look for someone who maintains high ethical standards, respects the origins of Reiki, and fosters a supportive learning environment.
“Reiki channels are not doctors so they never discourage the healee from continuing his on-going medicines. especially in severe conditions. Just add Reiki healing to ongoing treatment and sliently watch the amazing recovery. That is why it is called alternate healing therapy.
Sometimes you see no apparent cause for disease, nothing comes in diagnosis also then the disease or disorder must be understood as deeply due to past karmas and it requires healing for a very very long time. Because you as a channel cannot challenge or fight the CREATOR OF THIE UNIVERSE.
A functional disorder heals faster than a settled pathological disorder, e.g. a ‘slipped disc problem may take a long time to heal, but the accompanying pain, inflammation etc. can be rapidly relieved by Relki. Genetic problems are due to hard karmas and may require measures such as surgery, However there are no limits to the healing process—- the person can be healed and be in harmony regardless of the end result.
How can we find the root of the problem ? Internally request reiki to guide you, ask relevant questions and allow your feedback mechanism to guide you. It will tell you which area requires the maximum healing. Be in harmony with the healing process and the channeling of loving energies. Learn to listen to and trust your inner voice and guidance. Always request Reiki to guide you.
Healing energy always flow according to the need of healee. Some grandmasters have compared this to breast feeding a baby. The mother does not decide she will dispence 1.25 or 35 or 40 ml., of milk to the baby. The baby takes as much as needed. Same is the position of Reiki healers, they make available the healing energy in the best possible way and the healee withdraws as much as required to his/her body. So remember: JUST DO IT, JUST LET REIKI FLOW
